The main activity of Panevezys Education Centre (further –Centre) is the non-formal adult education which includes renewal, deepening and development of competencies. The Centre has been successfully operating since 1997. From 1997 to 2002 the Centre operated as a part of the Educational Department of Panevezys City Municipality, and since 2002 it is as an independent institution. The Centre is an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, which develops and accredits in-service training programs.
Panevėžys Educational Centre has two structural subdivisions. Panevezys Robotics Centre “RoboLabas” was established in 2019 and the regional STEAM open access centre was established in 2021. The activities of the units include non-formal education of children in the fields of robotics, engineering and technological sciences, as well as educational activities, competitions and camps for children from 5 years of age, young people and adults in Panevezys region.
Panevezys Educational Centre pays special attention to project activities. The staff of the Centre has more than 15 years of experience in the preparation and implementation of regional, national and international projects.

In 2022 Panevezys Educational Centre has already implemented the following projects:
- Erasmus + funded project “Towards professionalism”; the Centre is the coordinator.
- Erasmus + funded project “Cultural heritage inspired lifelong learning” – the Centre is the partner.
- Erasmus + funded project “THINK INSIDE THE BOX! A METHODOLOGICAL STEAM TOOLKIT FOR SCHOOLS – the Centre is the coordinator.
The following projects are financed or partially financed by Panevėžys City Municipality:
- The art project for children and youth “How stage scenery is born”;
- The project for the prevention of negative social factors “Don’t be toxic, let’s stop drug use!”;
- The project “Volunteering opens doors” for youth and youth organizations;
- Non-formal adult educational and lifelong learning project “Let’s work together” (partner).
Panevezys Educational Centre has 18 years of experience in developing and implementing in-service training programs.The Centre occupies 256 square meters, which are fully adapted for the training. The Centre has all the necessary equipment for the training. It should be noted that Panevezys Educational Centre has all the human and material resources necessary for the successful implementation of project activities.The Centre employs qualified staff with a university degree.
